Photos typically come in one of three forms: posed, candid, or guided.
Posed photos are exactly what they sound like--the photographer puts you in position. These tend to be the more editorial type poses. Think bridal magazine cover. Every detail is picture-perfect.
Candid photos are the opposite. They are caught in the moment without intervention. These are your natural expressions and tendencies. Your guard is down, your smile is genuine. Details may be less than perfect, but they are real.
Guided photos fall in the middle. We prompt you and then let you fill in the details with your personality and capture the authentic interactions that come out of it. We may tell you to flirt with your spouse or talk about what you're most excited for during your honeymoon. We may ask your parents to remember you as a child. This allows for a basic structure to form all the while letting your emotions and unique selves fill in the gaps.
